Services

I offer individual therapy both in-person and online. I strive to create a loving and supportive environment where you have the best opportunity to make meaningful progress. I am also passionate about teaching and consulting other therapists, particularly in the areas of CBT and DBT.

When we work together, the treatment plan we create will be thoughtfully tailored to you and backed by science.

I believe therapy should be both compassionate and grounded in solid research. As a doctoral-level psychologist, I’ve received extensive training in science-backed therapies and continue to seek out ongoing learning opportunities so I can provide the best care to my clients.

Individual Therapy

There are many reasons why someone might seek therapy and each of my clients has their own unique challenges. I have deep clinical experience and specialized training in the following areas:

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Anxiety, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic disorder

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Depression and Pervasive Depressive Disorder

  • Grief

  • Emotional Dysregulation, including self-harm and suicidal behaviors

  • Life Transitions, including the transition to parenthood

“Everyone should have a safe place where they can show up as themselves and not be judged.”

Evaluation

Our first few sessions will involve an evaluation of your needs. I will then be able to offer you some first impressions and suggest a treatment plan. During this time, we can decide if I am the best person to provide the services you need in order to meet your goals. If we both feel I am a good fit we can set up regular therapy sessions.

Doing the Work

There are many different methods I may use to help you deal with the problems you hope to address. Psychotherapy is not like a medical doctor visit. Instead, it calls for a very active effort on your part. In order for the therapy to be most successful, you will have to work on things we talk about both during our sessions and at home.

Achieving Results

The goal of therapy can be very different depending on each client’s goals and needs. This may also look like addressing behaviors that may feel good or provide relief in the moment, but ultimately take you further from your goals. My philosophy is that the kindest thing a therapist can do is to help a client live a life they feel is worth living and sharing.

rooted in science

I provide evidence-based therapy techniques to help you confront fears, understand patterns in your thoughts and behaviors, discover hidden strengths, and grow in a safe, judgment-free space.

Below are some of the empirically supported treatments I use in my practice, each chosen based on research demonstrating its effectiveness for specific challenges.

Teaching & Consulting

In addition to working with individual clients, I am passionate about supporting other therapists through training and speaking opportunities.
